Is there any reason to still get the original when Sunshine exists?

None that I can see. The content seems to be identical except Koikatsu has a lot less of it

For using free H-scenes and Studio… Sunshine is just newer/updated. A few KK mods don’t work, most do. You can import KK cards into KKS and basically everything works the same.
The main difference is the story. This one is on a beach instead of a school.
If you are new to KK just get Sunshine. KK is just for long time fans of the original and modders. If you play KKS story mode and like it, then you could visit original KK.
However, KK doesn’t work with Sushine stuff. If you’re familiar with HS2/Play Home it’s kind of like that. Honey Select 2 is mostly backwards compatible with Play Home, and is just an upgraded version of it. KKS is basically 2d Honey Select 2. The most modern and developed of the 2d Illusion games with scads of mods.
