# Release 8 // 23.06.2019 This release contains Koikatsu Darkness (Part 1 through 3). As normal, this expansion has broken quite a few mods, most of them have been fixed, but if you REALLY need the following mods, you might want to download my R6.1 pack (~.~)v ### Mods removed due to incompatibilities with Darkness VMDPlay v0.0.13 ### Information about the R7.1 to R8 updater (Added to my discord and shared on hongfire as well) *Affected versions: R7.1 to R8 Update* I have received two reports, both from users of Malwarebytes, that they get warned that the file contains ransomware. My best guess at what's going on here, is that the updater is touching a LOT of files (7789 files, where 1408 of them are file diff patchings, Lots of files in the party translation), and Malwarebytes sees that as a executable changing the content of 7789 files and makes a ruling that it's more than a little suspicious, and thusly gives a warning to the end user, and that also explains the seemingly random point when this "malware" is detected. Now, this causes a dilemma for me, I do not want, nor believe, that you should take my word for it. I request that anyone with knowledge about such things perform their own third party check and not take my word for it. For the rest of you, if you want to stay safe, I understand it if you'd rather not touch a file known to get warnings, false positive or not. The full pack download has no such warning, so feel free to use that if you'd rather do so. I am looking into alternative ways to build my updaters to avoid this going forward as well. If you know a good way to build patchers that avoids this problem, please to tell me ### Translations This release contains translations from Koikatsu Party. I spent a lot of time getting it working properly, and I believe it now does so, but please tell me if you experience trouble with it. Do take note that Koikatsu Party only includes the first game with no expansions, so expansion content is still fantranslated and some is machine translated still.
