Replaces [this bloated version](https://sukebei.nyaa.si/view/3824872)

File list

So, which one is the native PNG?
thank you, the other one was bloated af
yeah thanks I really had no idea why it was like 8MB per image
Comparing the images, the other one has more details. This one was just converted from RGB16 to RGB8 giving a wierd green tint to the grayscale images that was not present in the other release.
They are both the same. The bloated one is 4x the size because it's needlessly 16bpc RGB, while this one here is proper 8bpc. You can get it even smaller actually if you ignore some more off-by-one (like 252,253,252) for the color values and convert it to grayscale. I just tested it with one file, but you should end up with ~150M. @natsam No idea what you are seeing, but they are literally the same pixel values and look identical to me. Btw, not the uploader.
@RattlesnakeOozer Used page 6 as sample. https://imgur.com/a/X9Iaew0 In each image I set level at 243 in photoshop to compare, the transitions between colors is smoother in the older one. and here https://imgur.com/a/kOyuxgZ is the difference between them via a blend layer + levels.
@natsam My initial test was in Beyond Compare, which I guess only handles it internally in 8 bit, but I see your difference when doing level changes in Gimp, too. If you color pick the unaltered areas you can again see slight errors between the channels to true greyscale. Eg 254,255,254 for the 8bit one here and 65275,65282,65278 for the 16bit bloated one. I guess the green tint is a result of doing these extreme level changes with 8bit bit depth with a relatively larger error percentage. It's hard to tell how both these images and the errors came to be and who fucked up what, but ideally they should have just been proper greyscale 8bpc from the beginning. Also if you use lossless webp instead of png, you should be able to get this down to even smaller at ~120M.
well, I still appreciate having 4x the space because I'm not really reading hentai to zoom in as much as I can and compare pixels exact color values and I'm also color blind.
