It's locale problem, it works on english or japanese locale for now.

Working fine for me and patch is unnecessary anyways since it comes with it pre-installed to begin with. I never installed the patch but it's already version 1.01 (R18). Everyone should have their locale set to Japanese anyways.

Also have the black screen issue, I have japanese locale and can start other games that requires it, and I used the 1.01 patch so neither is the issue

This is the issue: "The root cause has been narrowed down a locale issue- most affected users have a system locale that uses a different number/decimal system than the application expects." Taken from the Steam link above, the update on NekoNyan's website doesn't fix this issue.

Game from this torrent is running fine for me with no tweaking required (i use english locale on Windows and a locale emulator for VNs that require it). However there is a newer patch version 1.02 available on Steam but there is no manual download for non-steam version (at least not yet). They do mention using the updater for non-steam users, probably not possible with pirated version i guess. https://twitter.com/NekoNyanSoft/status/1603827033649577984 Files changed according to their bot on Discord seems to be patch.dat and Assembly-CSharp.dll
