They let you choose between PNG and PDF. Proper PDF rip: Irodori Store only has PDF. To get the images you must use poppler's pdfimages and then losslessly optimize them with pinga (GUI) or pingo (CLI): 1. Download the latest *poppler* binary [HERE](https://github.com/oschwartz10612/poppler-windows/releases) 2. Extract the **bin** folder from *.zip\Library* and use *pdfimages*.exe inside it with these commands: `pdfimages.exe -j -png "pdf file path" "output folder path and prefix for img name"` 3. Download, extract and install *pinga* from [HERE](https://css-ig.net/pinga) 4. Run it and change the settings to [THIS](https://imgur.com/a/jtMRVC2) to avoid using lossy conversions. 5. Add the extracted images (both JPGs and PNGs) and hit the *optimize* button. JPGs will be handled losslessly too.

Can someone explain what the difference between these pdf and native png rips are? Do they both come from irodori, but are different download formats or something?

@OP Thanks for the explanation (and also obviously the release). One more thing though, do the Fakku PDF's only contain (bloated) jpg? I have some older now purged torrents with image file names like Page_000xx.jpg, and I don't understand where these came from. eg chapter 2 of this series, tagged as " [Irodori Comics] [Fakku]", btih 71f50fca92a7c967b50e57246a6eb1e77a10ae66. If you don't want to spam the description more, you can also reply in the /h/ sadpanda thread.
