The world does not need another version of Kakyuusei (1995), but here’s one anyway. This one is based on the newly issued R2J DVDs; previous versions were based on laserdiscs. High-school senior Nanahoshi Kakeru, is hoping to “make happy memories” (i.e., get lucky) in his last year in school. He meets and beds a first-year student in each episode, before circling back to his “true love.” This show has the same plot as all the other “-uusei” shows, but at least it’s shorter.
