![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/5n9q3a17l/310762_front.jpg)![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/4kzjkqq41/412.png) **Title**: Duel Savior **Length**: Long (30 - 50 hours) **Year**: Japan 2004-10-01, English Patch Update 2013-01-16 **Developer**: Giga & Team Baldrhead **Publishers**: Giga & Alchemist **Language**: English **Voice**: Japanese **Translation**: [Seiha Translations](http://games.seiha.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=577&sid=a53c437bd427a73e4d035f81c16d4f98) **Description**: There is a prophecy that every 1000 years, when the destruction draws near, the Messiah will come from a different world to the root world of Avatar and save them all. Mia Touma, while returning home from school, finds an old but highly decorated book. When she shows it to her brother, Taiga, the book teleports them to another world - Avatar. When they awaken, they find themselves in a world reminiscent of Medieval Europe. Before they understand what's happening, an energetic woman comes before them and tells them they have become Savior Candidates. They must use the training they learn at the school to defeat the Lords of Ruin and Ruin itself to save Avatar and every other world along with their friends. However, Taiga finds he has become the Red Apostle, which complicates matters greatly. What is going on with the fight with Ruin? Will he actually be able to become the Messiah and save Avatar? **Important**: 1. You need to change system locale to Japanese. 2. Run Duel Savior.exe or DuelSaviorMod.exe. - Duel Savior.exe is the original executable from the English patch. It is not compatible with Windows 8 and 10 and you wont be able to switch the game to windowed mode unless you change to 16-bit color. - DuelSaviorMod.exe enables windowed mode without changing the color and should fix the typical DirectDraw issues encountered on Windows 8 and 10 but can also be used for Windows XP/Vista/7. 3. The modifications to the DuelSaviorMod.exe consist of the following: - Game will use the ddraw implementation from Wine - (renamed as edraw.dll) - Game will be able to play in windowed mode regardless of screen color depth. The original game required 16-bit color depth at all times. - Game will use Sleep() in the idle loop instead of hammering the clock. This eliminates the excessive CPU consumption from the original exe. - Game will use 32-bit color depth for fullscreen. (the 32 is hardcoded) 4. Duel Savior Destiny is the PS2 version, Duel Savior Justice is the adult PC version. Differences between the two versions: http://games.seiha.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=533 5. Voice Actor Configuration: - By default, PC voices will be used for all content. - If you wish to use PS2 voices where they are available, then rename Voice1.pac to Voice2.pac and vice-versa. - If you wish to use PS2 battle/system voices, rename Justice2.pac to Justice2PC.pac and rename Justice2PS2.pac to Justice2.pac. - See here for a complete list and samples of the voice actors: http://games.seiha.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=533 !!! Thanks man, I've been wanting to replay this for a while now and wasn't able to because of the DirectDraw issues.
Thanks for the reupload! After reading the read-me, I finally know why I couldn't do the princess route years ago. For better or worse I've lost the save file due to dying computers, but this one is worth the replay.
Totally Loved this game back in, Now I might as well download this for old time sake. Thank You!
If someone here still has the version of this you were able to get from Fuwanovel once upon a time, This version is about 1GB bigger. The reason for this is that the Voice1.pac and Voice2.pac are bigger. I assume the destiny only scenes didn't have their voice lines in that version.
I have found a couple issues this visual novels has: If you're in fullscreen and you go to windowed mode going fullscreen again will cause it to crash and if you're using a controller to play this visual novel the controller will stop working if the visual novel loses focus as in if you have it windowed and give focus to a different program the only way to get the controller working again is to exit the visual novel and run it again. Also could someone work on a Walkthrough Guide for this visual novel and post it on Fuwanovel?

It's not crashing if you're playing on Windows 7, at least for me. Probably something with Windows 8/10. There's a full walkthrough of the game on GameFAQs.
I'm going by that walkthrough but it's outdated and full of issues (spelling and grammar to name a couple), choices are in Japanese (when they're in English on the visual novel) and most of the locations are wrong and don't match with what the visual novel calls them. The author also mentions patch 1.03 when the copy here is 1.13 so my guess is he played a very outdated version of it or a version that wasn't fully translated. I am working on an edited walkthrough guide myself, I have most of it done I just need to play through the game to write down the choices then I'll see about making my own walkthrough guide on Fuwanovel.
I found a walk from http://games.seiha.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=590&start=0 didint test it because i dont have time uploaded in 2012-10-14 21:16:21 https://www.mediafire.com/file/vcg8q1860n69p2w/Duel+Savior+-+Walkthrough.doc
@exodiaofchaos That is not a walkthrough at all and isn't helpful at all, what I'm working with is probably 100% better than whatever you found.
So if we play the Justice version there's no need for PS2 voices, right? Or are there scenes which aren't voiced and would benefit from added voices by changing Voice1.pac to Voice2.pac? What's the difference between the PC and PS2 voices, basically? Sorry for all of the questions.
