The game engine is a little fragile, so playing on high speed for extended periods of time, or skipping many scenes in a row will likely overload the engine and cause a crash. The only workaround so far is to save often and use the skip function to move forward. I tried waiting a bit before every skip and there were no crashes so far. - If the game has no sound, try deleting the config.dat and restarting the game will fix this problem. - If the game does not run properly in fullscreen mode (showing a black screen): Setting the compatibility mode to Window 7 or XP will fix this. Disabling dpi scaling in the shortcut properties also helps in some cases. If the fullscreen is not properly scaled there may also be graphics card specific settings to change. Multi display systems may also have trouble running the game in full screen. Moving the game in windowed mode between windows while video is playing also has a high chance of the game crashing.
